KIDS ROOM BLUE COLOR IDEAS
They rightfully say that blue is the warmest color. Blue is also the one color which maintains its character no matter its shade. Blue can lighten up any space and therefor it is also one of the most versatile colors that we can use in our homes. Blue wall tiles are the best choice in bathrooms, blue can be used in bedrooms, can be combined with a large variety of other colors to be applied in the kitchen, and of course, it can be used in the kids’ room to provide a sense of purity and cheerfulness. When we go for blue color in the kids’ room, we can rarely go wrong, but we should try making it exciting for the kids and to be honest, it’s not very easy to make a mistake when you are dealing in blue.
Blue blankets can be provided to sync in with blue walls. The bedposts can be given a white color to contrast against the blue. Blue walls can be in in any shade of the color, but hazy sky blue is an evergreen choice. On this some random pictures drawn by the kids themselves or other craft items prepared by them can be left hanging. The paintings can bring out a more personal expression in the room.
Blue paper lantern can provide a natural moonlight glow to the room once the overhead lamps are switched off. This will be particularly loved by the kids and give the room a very warm look at night. But care should be taken that hazy blue lights are not used while reading because that can weaken the eyesight.
MIXING AND MATCHING:
Blue can be mixed and matched with a host of other colors not just on the walls but also on the décor. It can be mixed with white to provide a classic fairy tale look. The same effect can be achieved by using maroon with blue color. When it comes to décor, the tables and chair tops can be blue and the frames can be white. A unified look is always a safe bet.
PROVIDING A THEME:
Another exciting experiment that we can adopt while planning a kids room is that of going in with a theme. Using blue color, one could go with a pirate ship theme, with the bed acting as the pirate ship and providing a small bow at the end. Another adoptable theme is that of flying in the sky. This provides a range of ideas including drawing planets and stars on the walls interspersed with birds etc. A theme based room can be incredibly fun for the kids.
Blue is truly the safest color when one is intent on experimenting. When it comes to selecting hues for a home, it can always be relied upon to cheer up the space where it is applied. But with a bit of creativity and ideas, it can achieve even better results and can far exceed our expectations. Even for a kids’ room blue is the best option, and should be tried with them for best results.
